SUN TV ended Ascetic’s Happy Hours it seems

Now I got to know how Americans might felt when Tigerwoods got caught. India is known for spirituality. Uhh… it’s common to see spams in every field. Yet another embarrassing incident for India and its major religion Hinduism. This incident is eligible to be placed in India’s worst events 2010 list.

Whenever I visit Pondicherry, on beach I always note that calm and polite face of an innocent youth follower of Nithyananda selling his books. This seller is not actually a seller more like a volunteer, he comes near to us with a calm face and shows the book. Only if you respond, he will start to explain what the book is and everything else.

I, to my wonder, loved this strategy. It’s not the usual way, you are not pestering the customer. And obviously he is a volunteer who might be a potential student or professional doing this work part time believing this would help somewhere someone.

The matter I wanted to say is different, Nithyanandha Swami got red handed with local actress in a video tape. It is alleged that a sting operation conducted by popular news channel SUN TV which is owned by the state minister and one of powerful Indian politician Karunanidhi.

On the other hand Nithyananda Swami has a base of lakhs of devotees in India and worldwide. He writes a column in a popular Tamil weekly Kumudam.

Whether a ascetic involve in sexual activity is altogether not a debate. The thing to note is that it is an affair. And it hurts and more importantly embarrasses the believers.

Interesting point is that it’s not an accidental event that some mobile video scandal but a sting operation conducted exclusively by SUN TV.

Indian media already got aggressive and bold to have programs that involve social interactions on bold topics will be more encouraged to have this kind of popularity. You might remember Aaj Tak which started this style in India.

You might remember the scandal comes just after a day Kalki Bahvan scam came out.

Like Jesis Christ, it is said that Lord Krishna will make a rebirth in Kaliyuga which Hinduism devotees believe is this era is. There are many ascetics are popping out everyday claiming he is Lord Krishna and both of the above did the same.

This is a big business in India, I remember my neighbor brought a famous ascetic to his home, giving 10 million just to land his foot inside his newly built home

And the video clearly not for below 18 years old and I don’t know why and how it is getting telecasted on news channels (Even censored versions are embarassing).
