We all know that this is not a cookery blog… Still I got a small but interesting tip today and I really want to share with you…
Everytime when your wife tries Briyani/ Fried Rice, the output will be always all the rice sticking with each other like glue or something … And your comment would be “something is missing”? How they do it in Restaurants then?
I’ll tell you the secret…
Its not just plain meal so don’t prepare like a plain meal
When you clean the rice in water, clean it for at least ten times with lot of water to the extent that you can see the rice through water. This makes all the starch to go away.
Drown in water for 30 minutes
Then for boiling usually you’ll add 2 or 3 times water for each cup of rice; now don’t as it got washed up with lot of water and densed with just add one cup water for one cup of rice
Now try the Briyani as usual; you might be interested to have a restaurant start up
